We understand that every transfer student’s situation is unique, and there are many things that you have to take care of before arriving to Penn State. Below is a list of next steps to help navigate you through the process of enrolling in Penn State.
Your offer of admission to Penn State will first display in MyPennState, and you will also receive your offer notification via U.S. mail. Your mailed offer of admission will include an evaluation of transferable credits based on your coursework at your previous institution(s).
International applicants will be able to view their admissions decision by accessing their MyPennState profile and will not be notified by mail.
Please read all your decision materials carefully.
After receiving your acceptance, be sure to research the costs of attendance and the available financial aid. Contact the Office of Student Aid with any questions about financing your Penn State education.
Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form or have your existing form sent to Penn State.

Before accepting your offer of admission, contact the Housing and Food Services Office at your campus to inquire about on- or off-campus housing. Each campus has different housing options for students, and this office can assist you as you determine the housing that might work best for you.
Penn State does not guarantee on-campus housing for transfer students.
You can accept your offer of admission in MyPennState to start the enrollment process by paying your non-refundable enrollment fees and deposits.

Every student has an academic adviser. Academic advisers are your best resource to help you establish your academic goals, evaluate your transfer credits, plan your courses, find internships, and connect with faculty to get involved in research.
If you are not able to visit campus prior to enrolling, you should contact the advising center in your academic college to inquire about arranging an advising appointment, reviewing transferable coursework, and scheduling your Penn State courses through your LionPath student services center.
