Penn State's five-year professional Bachelor of Architecture program prepares students to contribute in innovative ways to the practice of architecture. Students explore learning in traditions of drawing, model building, fabrication, hands-on construction and computation.  This provides our students with an intimate knowledge of materials and building processes.  In addition, they explore non-traditional means of building delivery, and community outreach.  All fourth-year students study abroad at our Rome, Italy program located in the Piazza del Collogio Romano.

College of Arts & Architecture - Landscape Architecture and Graphic Design (Info Session and Facilities Tour)

Penn State's five-year Bachelor of Landscape Architecture program is one of the highest ranked in the United States. Our goal is to produce leaders capable of effectively addressing the complexity of global environmental, social, and aesthetic issues. The curriculum exposes students to state-of-the-art digital technologies, approaches to environmental and urban revitalization, and includes a semester studying abroad in Germany focused on sustainable design and living.

Graphic Design includes the technical skills and the creative and intellectual capacity essential to the practices of graphic design and is intended to prepare students for employment in design studios, advertising agencies, packaging, publications and corporate design, film and television graphics, and Web and interactive design.

  College of Communications (Info Session)

That meaningful instructional approach gains additional power because of the numerous co-curricular media opportunities available to all students, and because of the emphasis the College of Communications places on internships. The end result for students who study at Penn State is an intensive, hands-on educational experience that helps prepare students for real-world opportunities.

Penn State has one of the largest teacher-preparation programs of all Big Ten universities, mostly based in the College of Education. The college also has options that help graduates prepare to be educational administrators, counselors and therapists, educational and school psychologists, policy analysts and researchers, and rehabilitation professionals.
