Penn State New Kensington
Penn State New Kensington has seventy-two wooded acres in Upper Burrell Township in Westmoreland County, including a multi-purpose conference center, the 350-seat Forum Theatre, the 600-seat Field House, an art gallery, and a nature trail.
At Penn State New Kensington students have the opportunity to experience the best of both worlds, an intimate campus setting and all the resources of a major research university. The campus provides a beautiful setting for our modern facilities yet the faster pace of Pittsburgh's city life is just a short drive away and campus is in easy commuting distance from almost anywhere in Allegheny, Armstrong, Butler, Indiana, and Westomoreland counties.
There are about 880 students on campus, many who live in privately-owned off-campus housing.

Individuals who will have earned a high school diploma or the equivalent before enrolling at Penn State, and/or who have taken credits at another regionally accredited college or university since graduating from high school.
Students with an offer of admission to Penn State New Kensington.
Prospective Transfer Students
Students who have graduated from high school or completed a GED and will have completed more than 18 credits of college coursework (post high school graduation/GED) before starting at Penn State.
Prospective Adult/Veteran Students
Individuals who are 24 years of age or older; or are veterans of the armed services or active duty service members; or who are returning to school after four or more years of employment, homemaking, or other activity; or are people who assume multiple roles such as parent, spouse/partner, employee, and student. Prospective adult/veteran students may or may not have completed more than 18 credits of college coursework post high school graduation/GED.
